Economics in Agribusiness Decisions is a distance education course offered through IFAS. The course is delivered via a combination of video conferences and the Internet. Application of course concepts occurs through the use of chat room and bulletin board discussions.

The course combines economic concepts with decision sciences to solve management problems in agribusinesses. The five general areas for the course are:

  1. Introduction and Review of Basic Concepts
  2. Utilizing Concepts of Consumer Theory to Improve Management Decisions
  3. The Role of the Manager in the Production Process
  4. Market Structure, Strategic Behavior and Pricing
  5. The Impact of Risk on Management Decisions
