Click here for further information. (.doc) Woman of Distinction AwardThe Association for Academic Women is seeking nominations for the 2009 Woman of Distinction Award. This award is given to a University of Florida faculty member or administrative/professional woman. Criteria: Nominees should have made significant contributions to the quality of life of women. Defined broadly, these contributions include those directed to women at the University, in the local community, the state, nation or society in general. Recipients of the Woman of Distinction Award must be eligible for membership in AAW but the award is not restricted to current AAW members. Please submit your nomination by February 28, 2009. The Woman of Distinction Award Committee will review the nominations and submit recommendations to the Executive Board of AAW for final selection. The award recipient will be announced at the Women’s History Month Reception in March of 2009.
