First UNIFIED Meeting of Fall

New Student Reception

FWEA will be at the New Student Reception event in the Reitz to give information about our club to new students. We have also made available our informational flyer in PDF format.
FWRC Winners

UF FWEA teams have won first and second place in the state FWEA student design competition in Tampa, FL at the 2008 Florida Water Resources Conference. Team Tersus Unda took first place and team Attero Unda Gators took second place. Congratulations to both teams!

Join us for the 9th Annual Air Potato Round-Up!

Join FWEA in the fun and come help protect our conservation lands. Saturday January 26th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, we will join over a thousand volunteers in taking back Gainesville's natural areas.
Our site is the UF Nursery, which can be located on the campus map by Elmore Hall. Breakfast will be provided by FWEA at 8:45 am, bagels, fruit, and orange juice.
Following the round-up, a celebration will be held at Morningside Nature Center at 11:00 am with a complimentary t-shirt, food, live entertainment, guest speakers, and a drawing for great prizes.
(Remember to dress to be outdoors and wear gloves, there are no restroom facilities until you arrive at Morningside Nature Center, so please plan accordingly)
Model Water Tower Competition

Volunteering to help with this event facilitated the competition and helped young children learn about recycling.
Evening with an Executive — CDM

FWEA hosted Evening with an Executive with CDM at Tapa's resteraunt. The event was a success with a good turn out of students to speak with CDM.
