As part of learning, turf students at the University of Florida - Fort Lauderdale tackled 56 burning turf questions from 27 correspondents, on lawns, golf courses, and roadsides, both warm- and cool-season.  This was their third hour exam.  

Questions came mostly by e-mail, from Asia, Latin America, and all over the United States.  The inquirers were University professors and students, but questions were received as well from golf course superintendents and the general public.

Students scrambled at computers to write up answers, using books, personal knowledge, and World Wide Web sources to solve the problems.  While not all inquirers got an answer, they at least got a "thank you."

Turf problems with answers are being posted to a new threaded discussion forum, so all can share the knowledge of warm-season grasses.  This is one of the best ways to learn.  Thanks for all your help.  Your comments and suggestions are appreciated.
