Slocum, Xie Win Divisions at Fall Classic

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Nearly 15% of the field at this past weekend’s Tallahassee Fall Classic was made up of UF Racquetball Club members. Nine in all traveled to the event: Coach Brad Slocum, Jia Xie, Adam Chow, Harrison Slocum, Brad Turetzky, Oren Schwartz, Michael Knudsen, Brad Knudsen, and Nick Knudsen.

Tournament Notes

• Each division featured a UF Racquetball Club member in the finals.
• Five of the nine players made it to the finals in their singles skill division.
• Coach Brad Slocum took home the Open title.
• Jia Xie, playing in his first tournament, claimed the C division over fellow Gator, Adam Chow (who was also playing in his first tournament).
• Oren Schwartz and Brad Turetzky finished second in the A and B divisions respectively.
• Michael Knudsen, playing in his first tournament as a UF Racquetball Club member, won his first C match before running into Chow in the next round.
• Harrison Slocum, Brad Knudsen, and Nick Knudsen enjoyed the catered Outback Steakhouse dinner on Saturday night.

GAINESVILLE, FL - The 2009 Orange and Blue Shootout will be held on the weekend of January 23-25, 2009, at the Southwest Recreation Center on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville. This tournament serves as the primary annual fund-raiser for the UF Racquetball Club. Entry forms will be posted on this website under the "Orange and Blue Shootout" tab and on www.floridaracquetball.com by November 1.
