How to get your resume into the Member Directory:

  • Meet with Eric Hall at the CRC (in the Reitz).  I would recommend emailing him and making an appointment (erichall@crc.ufl.edu).  You may meet with other people to get their opinions, but when you are ready to take someone your resume for that final critique and get your form signed, he is the only person that can sign it.  If you have problems getting in touch with him, email Emily (the President) and something can be worked out.

  • Take a printed copy of your resume and this form. Eric Hall must fill out the form and sign the resume that he critiqued.  He will note on the form whether you need follow-up or not.

  • If for some reason you dispute his advice and don't want to make some of the recommended changes, please contact Emily (the President) and she will help you out.  This is your resume, not Emily's, not Eric's.  It needs to be the way you want it.  They are just there for guidance so that your resume will meet a certain standard.

  • Once you have your form signed and no follow-up is required, make any necessary changes and then email the final resume to Emily at emily.tipton@yahoo.com.

    • Make sure the final resume being emailed:

      • Is saved as "resume-FirstName_LastName" (without the quotes)

      • Is saved as a .doc file or .pdf

      • Has spell and grammar check turned off

        • Go here for instructions on how to turn them off in Word

  • Before Emily can post the resume on our website, she also needs to get the form that Eric Hall filled out for you.  You can email her to find a good time to meet with her on campus.

This might seem like a lot, but this is what companies are going to be judging us on, and once you go through the process, you don't have to do it again.

If you ever want to update/change some minor things about your resume, just email Emily the new one and put what the basic changes were.

If you want to do a complete overhaul on it, then you will need to go through the approval process again.

There will not be a log-in required to access this page, so please do not put any personal information on your resume (i.e. your home address, phone number).  It is recommended that you use your email address as your only contact information.
