Our Ideals and Purposes

  • Encourage and promote excellence in teaching and research among Black graduate students
  • Increase the number of professors of African descent at American colleges and universities
  • Increase the number of graduate trained professionals in business and industry
  • Disseminate information to the members pertaining to academic, financial and social needs
  • Establish and maintain liasions with Black faculty, student organizations and the community at large
  • Provide academic and support services to the campus and Gainesville community
