How You Can Support Child Mentoring In Alachua County

Join our Organization and Learn How YOU can help:

  • Join our Listserv and come to our meetings (see the Get Involved & Events pages [click on the kite])

  • Help spread the word at UF about the need for child mentors--learn at our meetings how you can help the cause by using word of mouth, advertising and public relations, student groups, tabling, events and more!

  • Learn and help others participate and support the fundraisers that help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Florida provide invaluable mentoring services to children in our community

  • Become a Big (mentor) yourself!
(Although our members are not required to become Bigs, we do support it!)

Come to our meetings (Check the events page) to find out how to become a Big or visit: www.bbbsmidflorida.org, fill out and submit a volunteer form.
(Read about the programs available on the right, and the requirements for each below.)

  • Join a committee...you can help increase mentorship, get the word out on campus, provide activities for Bigs and Littles to thank them for all that they do!

  • Participate or donate to BBBS of Mid-Florida activities and fundraisers:
Visit: www.bbbsmidflorida.org and read our Events page!

  • If you are a student group, organize an event with us or come ask us about opportunities for philanthropy!

  • Help obtain donations from companies and individuals (printing companies are especially helpful) to help BBBS at UF promote the cause!
