Membership Levels

Anyone can Join the Sociology Club/Local Membership of Alpha Kappa Delta - Any major, any year, any grade point average (as long as you have active membership!)
- $9 local dues

Alpha Kappa Delta has requirements - the Official Sociology Honor Society requires that you be a Junior Sociology Major (CLAS classification 3LS) with the following:
- 3.0 Overall and Sociology G.P.A
- Declared Sociology Major
- Completion of at least 4 Sociology Courses (12 Credits)
- Active Membership
- $40 fee that goes to Headquarters (in addition to the $9 local dues)

Point System - In Spring '08, to be considered an active member of AKD or Sociology Club, you must obtain seven (7) points per semester. Attending a meeting or a service project counts as one (1) point. Additionally, attending other events on campus publicized through AKD/Sociology Club counts as one (1) point.
