Mission
Ad Society, UF's chapter of the American Advertising Federation, pledges to provide students a strong preparation for a career in advertising through professional involvement and career training.
Why Join?
The AAF college chapters are the only national affiliation offered exclusively to advetising students. Currently, approximately 200 universities are enrolled as members of the AAF college chapter program.
By becoming involved in this pre-professional organization students are able to develop common bonds with local and regional professionals. This puts Ad Society members at a significant advantage when entering the work force.
Ad Society gets you closer: you get advice from professional speakers, hands-on experiences, opportunities to visit agencies, and a chance to network with current and future professionals — all while boosting your resume.
By joining the student chapter of the AAF, you are taking proactive steps in the development of a successful career in advertising. Employers will take notice of your involvement in this national organization, giving you a significant advantage.
In addition, you can maintain this affiliation with a future membership in the Ad 2 Division for advertising professionals under 32 years of age.
While enrolled in this chapter, you will be given the opportunity to develop ties with the Gainesville Advertising Federation, the local professional chapter. This early interaction with professionals will set you out on the right track towards an extremely successful career.
