Due to the recent
grove incident, we have had to abruptly retire the old grove server.
We are in the process of reestablishing services on a completely new platform.
We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing and we are working as fast as we can to restore services. Current status and projections are below.
E-mail Services
webmail.grove.ufl.edu, imap.grove.ufl.edu and pop.grove.ufl.edu are available.
Please note that e-mail sent between the 14th and the 23rd of January will be in the inbox in a random order.

Web Services
Web services for web pages are available. Grove now runs:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux instead of HP Tru64 Unix,
- Apache 2.2.3 instead of Apache 1.3.26,
- PHP 5.1.6 instead of PHP 4,
- MySQL 5.0.45 instead of MySQL 3.23.52,
- Perl 5.8.8. instead of Perl 5.6.0 and
- (For compiled programs) x86_64 architecture instead of alpha.

Maple is currently available
MATLAB is currently available
SAS is currently available
Due to low usage and greatly increased cost, IMSL
will not be offered on the new grove.

Other Services
- Organizational account renewal is available. Organization accounts need to be renewed before 2 May 2009. Any member of an organizational account can renew the account. Changes of membership in student organizational accounts still require that the president come to the UF Help Desk with picture ID
- Individual accounts that would have expired 1 June 2009 have been automatically renewed and will expire 1 October 2009 (the normal date). Online renewal should be available by then.
- Account creation should be available by Thursday, 1 October 2009.
- Reestablishing printing services is being assessed.
