Grove

Due to the
grove incident in 2009, we had to abruptly retire the old grove server.
We are reestablishing services on a completely new platform.
We apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Most services have now been restored. Current status and projections are below.
E-mail Services
webmail.grove.ufl.edu, imap.grove.ufl.edu and pop.grove.ufl.edu are available.
Grove Webpages
Grove homepages are viewable:
- Grove Individual homepages
- Grove Organizational homepages
(Please note that many Student Organizational Webpages have moved elsewhere and that all of them will move by October of 2010. See The Center for Student Activites and Involvement to find the current location of the home page for a given student organization.)
Web Services
Web services for web pages are available. Grove now runs:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux instead of HP Tru64 Unix,
- Apache 2.2.3 instead of Apache 1.3.26,
- PHP 5.1.6 instead of PHP 4,
- MySQL 5.0.45 instead of MySQL 3.23.52,
- Perl 5.8.8. instead of Perl 5.6.0 and
- (For compiled programs) x86_64 architecture instead of alpha.
Licensed Applications
Maple is currently available
MATLAB is currently available
SAS is currently available
Due to low usage and greatly increased cost, IMSL
will not be offered on the new grove.

Other Services
- Organizational account renewal will extend through
October 4, 2010. Student organizations will not be renewable
past that point.
Any member of an organizational account can renew the account. Changes of membership in student organizational accounts still require that the president come to the UF Help Desk with picture ID.
